Megan Kenny

Megan Murphy Kenny, violinist, holds a Master of Music degree in violin performance from the Yale School of Music, where she was a Harry and Margaret Simeone Scholar and recipient of the Harriet G. Fox Memorial Prize, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame. Her teachers have included Syoko Aki, Carolyn Plummer, and William Haroutounian. Ms. Kenny has performed in master classes for artists such as Almida and Roland Vamos, Pamela Frank, and the Muir Quartet and she received chamber coachings from Martin Beaver of the Tokyo Quartet while at Yale. Her orchestral career includes performances with North Carolina Opera, Opera Carolina, Fayetteville Symphony, Carolina Philharmonic, Boston Philharmonic, Moscow Chamber Orchestra, and the Amman Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Kenny has taught at University of North Carolina Pembroke and Campbell University. An active chamber musician, Ms. Kenny resides in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a member of the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra.
